Painting 2 of 30 – September 2014, 30 Paintings 30 Days Challenge
It’s amazing how the mind works. For a long time I had motivational incentives to lose weight, but never actually did anything to work towards those goals. But wow, when your mind kicks in and says “Enough – let’s do this” it wants to do it, and do it NOW! I remember just feeling disgusted and if I could have instantly removed the fat I would have. But I also knew I needed to lose the weight the right way, by exercise and lifestyle changes. I decided the best option for me was to go through a non-surgical weight loss program through a local hospital, and be more aggressive and dedicated to my exercise routine. With my decision made, I was anxious to start! The painting, “Now!”, expresses those crazy, anxious, mixed emotions you feel when you have decided to commit to something, and you want to just do it now, and yet you need to pull that energy together to make sure you are doing it right.
This is beautiful. Such energy and really nice to have a back story with it.
Thank you for your lovely comment; I am glad you enjoy the painting, and the journey it represents!
