Fat Girl Thin – Feelin’ Good

Painting 16 of 30 – September 2014, 30 Paintings 30 Days Challenge

I Love the song “Feelin’ Good”, and I in particular love the Nina Simone recording of it. It’s a powerful song about emancipation. By the end of May, 5 months into my journey, with summer just around the corner… I was feeling good, with a newfound energy, and a deep appreciation for my improved health – a NEW me!  This painting represents the emotions of appreciating my health and feeling free and energized in life!

It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
For me
And I’m feeling good

~ “Feeling Good” from the musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd
